Hello. I’m Jai Fukuta, Communicator for ALIS♪
My mission on the ALIS team is to promote smooth communication, as my title suggests! Communication can be defined in several ways, but I like to view it like this.
In other words, it is my mission to select from the best and most useful of the above elements, in the interest of generating effective and appropriate output in a timely manner. Of course, "What you want to say” includes not only communications from the ALIS team, but also the ALIS users. It is my role to understand what they want to communicate and to convey this to the ALIS team.
I’ve been thinking recently that my career role seems to be like that of an amplifier. People who are familiar with music will understand. It is a machine which receives an input signal, and allows the signal to be adjusted for sound quality and volume.
Even with only one sound, since the signal is composed of many frequencies (bass, middle, high tones, and noise, mixed together), the player adjusts and tweaks the amp to get the sounds they envisioned.
If you compare the “passion of the founding members” to a “sound a musician wants to perform”, then it is the communicator (“amp”) that accepts their thoughts as they are, works to understand them, determines the appropriate volume and sound quality, and sends them out.
However, since I am not a machine, the founding members’ thoughts and ideas cannot be conveyed accurately by simply “turning the knob.” Sometimes questions like, "Do you think that this sound is better than this one?” must be debated and discussed within the team, with all of us sharing our ideas.
And, as mentioned earlier, it is of equal importance to link the cable from the community members and amplify their voices to the ALIS team. This is my mission. I would like to accept your opinions seriously in order to make use of the feelings of everyone, and transmit them successfully to the founding members as much as possible, in the interest of the constructive development of the project.
I majored in psychology at university. I did not desire to enter clinical psychology, so I decided to take my studies and skills in a different direction. I am in the PR / marketing industry, as a planner / consultant.
Also, as side work, I have had 10 years’ career experience as a moderator for survey interviews. I looked at what kind of feelings and background were on the other side of a person's words, while conversing, and this always leads to some discovery. It was quite the job!
While face-to-face interviews were the mainstream until a couple of years ago, with the advent of new approaches such as MROC (Market Research Online Community) and SNS listening, online communication —and especially community operations—is changing rapidly, as new means and methods are progressively sharing the face of the marketplace.
In my family line, entrepreneur types and stability-oriented types seem to alternate by generation.
Unlike my entrepreneurial grandparents’ nature, my parents chose more stable paths such as that of civil servants. I am definitely the former type, though. I like new things and a life that is varied day by day.
My introduction to the ALIS team was originally via former colleagues, who introduced me to ALIS official Ambassador Ricky. It was likely a shared interest in crypto that I suspect brought all this about.
Finally, and in returning to the previous narrative, there is another thing that a simple machine like an amplifier cannot do. That is to pick the right player. The right musician. I felt a very sincere and honest passion from Ricky and the ALIS team. Their “song” in this brand new market and innovative industry, is exciting and compelling to me. This is why I am here.
ALIS has just launched the product, and the journey has just begun. I am already enjoying the real pleasure that I get from being involved, from the beginning, with this venture of growth into the future.
