Don't worry about failure. Worry about the chances you miss when you don't even try. (Gray Matter)
There is no doubt that one of the reasons why Japanese people cannot learn English is "fear of failure. Those who have been constantly pointed out their mistakes in school have an obsessive-compulsive neurosis that their English must be perfect. The trauma may be too much.
But if you are always afraid, you will miss the chance to speak with native speakers. They have to put aside their silly pride and take a step forward with English that is full of mistakes. If you are not like that, you will never be able to learn English.
Japanese schools are point-deductionist, so they teach English as if "making no mistakes" is the highest virtue. This is a mistake. People who do not make big mistakes will not be very successful. Only those who boldly continue to take on challenges can become successful in any field.
Many people keep saying this, but the majority of people are
"I am comfortable being the same as everyone else.
This is a characteristic of Japanese society. Therefore, the "peer pressure" is so strong that it cannot be seen in other countries, and the "brain drain" of the smartest people continues.
Even when studying for examinations, many people try to do the same things as others and try to be better than others. It is a hope that cannot be realized.
