時代に合わない校則

時代に合わない校則、見直しへ　広島県教委、県立学校に通知

　広島県教委は16日、高校や特別支援学校など全ての県立学校に向け、時代に合わない校則を積極的に見直すよう求める通知を出した。昨年12月に改定された文部科学省の生徒指導の手引き「生徒指導提要」に盛り込まれた校則を見直す際のポイントを、4月の新学期を前に改めて周知した。

　一体、何十年同じ議論をやっているのだろう？「校則は全廃」と一言いえばいいのに。校則賛成派の人たちは「校則が無くなると風紀が乱れる」とよく言う。そうなんだろうか？あなたは、自分の通っていた学校の校則を知っていましたか？

　私はアメリカのローガン中学校で教員をやっていました。もちろん、校則なんてあるわけがない。でも、風紀が乱れているなんて全然ありませんでしたよ。むしろ、日本の学校より風紀が保たれていました。

　制服なし、部活なし、校則なしでも何の問題もなかった。

　文科省は上司に従順な国民を作りたいだけじゃないのかな？理不尽なルールでも逆らわずに、上司の命令どおりに動く国民が便利。消費税を勝手に上げても「仕方ない」。ワクチンで死んでも「仕方ない」と言ってくれて、決して暴動などしない。

　こんな便利で操縦しやすい国民ばかりになったのだから、文科省は大成功しているわけですね。

　How many decades have we been having the same debate? Why not just say "abolish school rules altogether?" Those who are in favor of school rules often say, "If school rules are eliminated, public morals will be disturbed. Is that so? Did you know the school rules of the school you attended?

　I was a teacher at Logan Middle School in the United States. Of course, there were no school rules. But there was no such thing as public morals at all. In fact, public morals were better maintained than in Japanese schools.

　There were no problems with no uniforms, no club activities, and no school rules.

　Isn't the Ministry of Education just trying to make the people obedient to their bosses? A people who do not disobey even unreasonable rules and follow the orders of their bosses is convenient. It is "no use" if the consumption tax is raised without permission. Even if a vaccine kills someone, they say, "It can't be helped," and never riot.

　The Ministry of Education has been very successful because the people have become such a convenient and easy-to-maneuver people.
